Core Training Equipment for Killer Abs
Posted By:
Friday, January 18, 2019

These machines should be a part of everyone’s exercise inventory because flat abs and six packs are all the rage these days. This equipment is ideal for banishing belly fat and strengthening abs.

Here is a look at some types of machines in this category:

Sit-Up Benches

Adjustable sit up benches are particularly effective. They allow you to change the angle of the bench to increase resistance. Steeper angles mean that sit-ups are more difficult. It can train your entire core and allow you to practice hyperextensions and incline leg raises.

To judge how effective this machine is, consider that almost all professional bodybuilders use this to build their ab muscles.

Power Tower

This is one of the best exercise equipments to practice bodyweight exercises like dips, chin ups and pull ups at home. For abs, you can use the leg raise station. Leg raises are one of the most effective exercises for building up abs. This machine is very versatile and you will find it very useful for lower body exercise.

Ab Wheel

Since it uses body weight to train your abs, this equipment is not for novices who lack core strength. That being said, if you develop basic core strength and start using this wonderful compact machine, you will see massive gains. The best part is that it’s cheap.

There is nothing quite like it when it comes to training the entire core. This amazingly simple machine trains hamstrings, shoulders, arms and chest. It’s so simple to use.

Roman Chair

This equipment will develop strength in your lower back besides exercising abs. This is great exercise equipment particularly for lifting weights because a strong back is required for such strenuous routines. It will prepare your lower back for all types of weight routines including the dreaded deadlift.

Many people do ab workouts while neglecting the lower back. This is a big mistake. Training the lower back is necessary to get rid the abs you want.

Cable Crunch

This is a very versatile gym machine that hits your core hard with variable resistance. Add extra weights to increase the size of your abs.

Fitness Ball

This increases the effectiveness of even basic ab exercises like crunches because of its inherent instability that is wonderful for exploding ab muscle mass. Give your core muscles a thorough workout with the fitness ball.

Due to instability, you will find that this effective equipment activates many muscles beside the core.

Medicine Ball

This can be used to easily add resistance to ab routines like crunches and Russian twists.

Battle Rope

These heavy ropes are great for conditioning your abs, arms and upper body.

Resistance Band

These will add resistance to standing ab exercises such as standing abs twist and standing abs crunch.

Weighted Hula Hoop

While it may not be the best equipment to build up highly toned abs, it is definitely a lot of fun and you should give it a try. The weighted hoops are surely not that easy to use.
